As an English teacher, I LOVE your translation/explanation of mentshlichkeit!! I once heard Rabbi Simon Jacobson say in one of his podcasts that if you can't explain a concept in Torah/Chassidus (don't remember exactly how he phrased it) then you really don't understand it (of course, he's speaking to native English speakers) . Also, my British-dwelling daughter who was just visiting here with me in Florida, was appalled at my use of disposables....so I went out and bought a set of weekday, fleishig cutlery...same-same.......enjoy the rest of your vacation, and looking forward to hearing more!
I love the European sensitivity and awareness towards the environment. It is not a disposable society at all. There is a less entitled and wasteful attitude. It is refreshing.
